Guardianship affects senior women living in retirement states more than others. Especially women with financial means and few family members nearby to oversee their well-being.
A guardianship is a legal proceeding in the circuit courts of Florida in which a guardian is appointed by the courts to represent (protect) the rights of a minor or incapacitated person.
What could go wrong? Unfortunately, allegations of fraud, waste and abuse by court-appointed guardians or anyone willing to exploit incapacitated people occur too often. Our panel of experts will share ways that you can protect yourself and the vulnerable people in your life.
